Direction a grand hotel Parisien 16th, hotel very jet set and trendy "trendy lounge" to spend a day and one night in the company of Ambilight TV and all the video equipment necessary to take advantage of it.
Although my room is extremely large and comfortably equipped, this is neither the time nor the idleness Room Service, the TV Full HD 37”is superb here, facing the XXL size bed, placed on a piece of furniture to a few centimeters a large white wall.

I do a quick tour of television and benefits foot Swivel any lightness to discover sets of connectors. All formats input / output audio / video are present, buttons commands easily accessible USB port and everything is provided for a total convergence. But the more interesting it is the diodes placed on both sides of the screen providing function Ambilight stereo that I am impatient to see action.
Remote control in hand, I m’installe comfortably to spend hours with the Philips TV and discover in all its glory.
A word in passing on the remote, but impressive form with a very original design with its wedge-end and a giant button within reach of an inch to activate and deactivate Ambilight at will.
The TV Full HD and Ambilight turned on, the image quality required accentuated by the halo of light on the wall. The Ambilight diffuse colors in perfect dynamic interaction with images on the screen. However, the light intensity of the Ambilight seems quite low even after an adjustment to a maximum of using the menu in the pull-down menus preset TV which incidentally are particularly ergonomic.
Too much sun on Paris! I’ve drawn a little curtains for more darkness, and here it truly flashes. Changes in colors of Ambilight intensify images and give them a relief that I had never seen. I decide to go further by looking in complete darkness with and without the Ambilight, no doubt, without Ambilight very quickly it was less interested in watching, the atmosphere has disappeared, the strength of feeling fades .

At my disposal next to the TV DVD Blu-Ray and stacks of movies in HD, a good reason to push the limits of television in varying brightness, contrast, color… It bluffant. I had already seen "Operation Swordfish" but see him in these conditions High Definition combined with Ambilight, which made sacred dimension to the film, washed away by the atmosphere we forget the Ambilight to be totally immersed in history.
What would the image without the sound? As usual at Philips sound is fully au rendez-vous. Whatever the volume sound quality will not suffer any damage and gives an intense rendering.
These tests were an opportunity for me to a total immersion in a new visual world. I wonder also how I can find my simple TV.
I would note, however, two small flats. First, the obligation to install the TV Ambilight near a white wall to enjoy a resitution true colors. Secondly, the need to watch TV in a dark enough to also enjoy a maximum immersion. The Ambilight is therefore consequently a feature that finds its entire interest when viewing films.
